Happy Spa Dogs Mobile Groom

Updated Jan 19, 2021

To our dog grooming family,

Our team at Happy Spa Dogs Mobile Grooming understand the growing concern surrounding COVID-19. Your pet(s) are part of your family and should be treated as such. We love pets, and we’re passionate about the service we provide to them. This means that every day, as part of our regular operations, our vans are cleaned and sanitized. We’re taking additional steps to keep pets and people safe as we come out to groom your pet(s).

“Tie and Sit” Procedure: In an attempt to eliminate all person-to-person contact we are asking all our clients to follow our “tie and sit” procedure. Your groomer will call/text you when they have arrived. We then ask pet owners to have their dog on the porch tied up for the groomer to get. After the groom, either do the same or let them into the house. This will allow us to continue business with 0 threat of person-to-person contact.

Plus, we’ll continue to follow the steps below:

Cleaning and disinfecting all grooming tables, tubs, and grooming tools between every grooming service.  Groomers wash their hands prior to and once they come back from picking up your pet(s). Wiping down their iPad and/or Phone after each grooming appointment.

This situation continues to evolve quickly, and we will be monitoring it closely. Based on current guidance and our own standards and practices, we will remain open for business and are committed to providing an outstanding experience for you and your pet(s).

We will continue to refer to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization and other public health agencies to determine the safest course of action for everyone we are grooming for.

As of today, there is no evidence that pets can spread COVID-19. For the latest information about coronavirus and pets, we encourage you to visit the link below:

The most important things pet lovers should know today are:

  • According to the CDC, there is currently no known reason to believe that any animals, including pets in the United States, can spread COVID-19.

  • To date, the CDC has not received any reports of pets or other animals becoming sick with COVID-19.

  • The CDC always recommends following everyday preventive actions to help prevent the spread of illness.

  • People who are sick with COVID-19 should restrict their contact with animals.

If you see any changes in the health condition of your pets, advice from a veterinarian should be sought as soon as possible.  As always, pet parents should adopt good hygiene habits, such as washing their hands before and after handling pets, their food, and supplies, and maintain a clean environment.
